Paul Mitchell ably assisted by Sharon, Rachel & Eleanor are your hosts at Duncan House.
Jeff Slater re-discovered Duncan House some 16 years ago and is responsible for bringing the building back to life through a programme of restoration work (which continues). Jeff is often around and if you bump into him in Duncan House will advise on all matters Kelso and the surrounding area. His two science degrees and a half a lifetime of business travel have helped provide the knowledge & experience at Duncan House on the technical aspects of poaching an egg and what makes a stay comfortable.
We try to provide the personal touch in the house which ensures that you are staying in a home rather than within bland walls.. As a consequence you will enjoy an extensive collection of books, many interesting artifacts to pick up and examine and a variety of original art on the walls. There is a great deal of fishing tackle and many other interesting artifacts to play with and many books to read.
Some of the art in the house is the work of Kate Grant a local artist, Kate's work is hung in various galleries and all of it is for sale.
Dogs are welcome in Duncan House. Our resident black labradors Susie & Finn are usually skulking around.
